Alive Pig Hunting Competition
At Alive Church, Whangarei, we believe that men can be men and live life as great role-models.
We know that God charges men with a special responsibility to live their lives brilliantly and to lead others well. We see that high-quality men bring great life results and careless men bring out shoddy life results. We want to see generations of men who live passionately and produce life like an oasis for others everywhere they are.
Throughout the year and especially at Fathers’ Day we host special guest speakers and events to encourage men in their specific roles in life. We know if we have great men and dads we can have great families. With great families we can have a strong society. We want to see this happen through men who actively and boldly live out their faith.
We also host annual events that aren’t exclusively male but are a great opportunity to include the men of our community. Watch out for the annual Alive Church Fishing Competition and our Inaugural Pig Hunt as well as many other Men’s social events.
On a regular basis we partner with other likeminded Churches and organisations in order to enrich the lives of men involved at Alive Church. We also try to periodically get men together to discuss issues that are specific to their gender and role in life. It’s amazing what men will talk about over a large, cooked breakfast!
