Lifegroups
At LifeGroup we get to relate over what is happening in the story of Alive Church and how that practically applies to our lives. We get to personally process and practice what God is doing in us as individuals.
We believe in the corporate power of getting together and celebrating on a Sunday, but we like to say that that’s only 10% of a real church experience. Your personal faith in Jesus Christ needs to be lived out in the community. One way we do this at Alive Church, Whangarei, is called LifeGroups.
At Alive Church, Whangarei, we believe in the plan of God for every individual. You don’t get what God’s got sorted for you as a spectator, so one of the best things we can get you to do is to be a participator. That is one of the things that happens in a LifeGroup.
LifeGroups are gatherings of committed friends who meet regularly and support each other through the good times and the bad.
The Alive Church LifeGroup’s all over Whangarei are as distinct as the people who attend them. There are some major attributes that are common in what they do. LifeGroups cycle each month through activities including Bible study and reflection of what’s happening in church, social activities with food and fun, a challenge to build personal relationship with friends who need God, and times of prayer and spiritual activation.
There are annual highlights as LifeGroups get involved in church wide events such as ‘Alive Idle’, the ‘LifeGroups Photo Contest’, the ‘Alive Church Beach Picnic’, and various Men’s, Women’s, and Family events.
